Position Summary

1 West Mother-Baby & Antepartum is a 40 Bed unit equipped to care for postpartum moms, their babies, antepartum moms, and lower acuity gynecological patients.

Primary Population:

  • Obstetrics-These are usually postpartum mothers with their babies or moms where babies are in the NICU. These patients are usually here 1-3 days.
  • Antepartum- These moms-to-be are admitted with diagnoses such as PROM, placenta previa, mild pre-eclampsia, etc. These patients can stay from a few days to months for fetal monitoring and maternal well-being, and occasionally lower acuity gynecology patients.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Active NAI listing with the North Carolina Division of Facility Services
  • Active NAII listing with North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • BLS/CPR Healthcare Provider is required through American Heart Association.
