Vidant Chowan Hospital is a modern 25 bed critical access facility located in historic Edenton, North Carolina, and provides services and programs to 45,000 people in 4 counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital's partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region, and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Provide CT Medical Imaging Services for patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols .Use professional education and judgment in regards to radiation safety to patient and self. Must have working knowledge of all CT protocols, knowledge of CT equipment including IV contrast power injector. Understands the use of the IV contrast screening sheet and all areas of documentation required. Adheres to the “First Pharmacy Review” process and policy. Must have proper training and documentation there of training in starting IV lines for contrast injection. Must have understanding of Health Span and the Philips Pacs system. May be asked to take CT call.
Associate degree in Applied Science for Radiologic Technology
ARRT Registered in Radiology
Computed Tomography registered or registered within 3 months of hire
