Position Summary

  • Primary duties will be related to community COVID testing site initiatives
  • Prepare patient specimens as required for laboratory testing, perform laboratory tests, and monitor test results to assure test quality and validity
  • Communicate results in a timely manner, especially those that may be life threatening to the patient
  • Maintain properly documented records of activities. Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • High School plus additional formal training or education with related NC state licensure for:
    • Medical Laboratory Technician or related associate College Degree
    • Laboratory Technician
    • Medical Assistant
    • Phlebotomist
    • Certified Nursing Assistant

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
  • One or more years of related work experience preferred

Other Information

  • Primary duties will be related to community COVID testing site initiatives
  • Temporary position with no benefits
  • Shifts times will change and vary at each location
  • Locations will change to other cites as state directed
