About Vidant Bertie Hospital

Vidant Bertie Hospital is a six-bed critical access state-of-the-art facility located in Windsor, North Carolina that provides surgical, emergency and diagnostic services, specialty clinics and primary care clinics. Our primary care physician practice operates the Vidant Family Medicine - Windsor and we have a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. The Emergency Medicine Physicians see approximately 30 patients per day, as well a cover the 6 inpatient beds during nights and weekends. Our medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, internal medicine physicians and surgeons in the region.


Position Summary

Responsible for providing therapy services to patients and their families as part of a multidisciplinary team with most emphasis on group therapy. Provides case management and follow up with patients, documents daily in the charts, assists in program development. Develops, implements and reviews treatment plans.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • State licensure at the independent levels of practice as professional Social Worker or Counselor
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Must maintain current BLS certification

Other Information

  • Full-time position with benefits
  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Position will be based out of Vidant Bertie Hospital (Windsor); however, will also be expected to work some days at Vidant Chowan Hospital (Edenton) one to two days per week
