About Vidant Medical Center - Greenville, NC

Vidant Medical Center is a fully accredited, 900+ bed regional referral facility encompassing a Level-1 Trauma Center and extensive inpatient and outpatient services including intensive and intermediate care, pediatrics, bariatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, pain management and psychiatry.


  • Responsible for administering audiological diagnostic and habilitative/ rehabilitative services to patients of all ages and maintaining current records of such services. Consults with Administrator relative to all pertinent matters of audiology program development and organization (research projects, expansion of programs, record keeping, policies and procedures, etc.). Will also be involved in team dynamics and participate in inter disciplinary activities when appropriate.
  • This position will support all areas for Inpatient, Outpatient, and Acute Rehab and also all patient populations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduation from Masters of Science, Masters of Arts or a Doctoral Program in Audiology.
  • North Carolina State Licensure in Audiology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology awarded by ASHA.
  • North Carolina Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters License.
  • Progressive and dynamic knowledge of Audiology and a willingness to participate in continuing education, to remain current in the field. Ability to work with other healthcare professionals in a manner that will ensure continued cooperative efforts.

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience in a medically based audiology setting.

  •  This position is part time, no benefits.  Hours will be as needed by department.
