Position Summary

  1. The Assistant Manager holds a position of line authority. 
  2. Under the direction of the Manager, the Assistant Manager is delegated certain responsibilities and authority for managing a cluster of perioperative departments (OR, CSR, PACU, SDS, GI, Preadmissions, Pain Clinic). 
  3. Among these responsibilities are coordinating, evaluating, and improving the standards of care by maintaining direct oversight of departments of responsibility.
  4. By utilizing leadership skills, the Assistant Manager assists the Manager in promoting safe, cost-effective, quality patient care.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSN required.  NCRN licensure required.
  • Two to three years of clinical experience in nursing, one year of which is in the clinical subspecialty required. 
  • Prefer previous leadership experience and knowledge of computer applications, such as Excel, Word, Power Point. 
  • BLS
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Other Information

  • Mon - Fri (8hour shifts)
  • On Call required
