In addition to acute care, our services include rehabilitation, oncology and outpatient clinics.


The RN is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient to which he/she is assigned and planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs including spiritual emotional and physiological needs. Once planned the RN is responsible for seeing that the plan of care is carried out through performance and/or leadership of supervised personnel and that the plan of care is evaluated. He/She is directly accountable to the Nurse Manager via the Charge Nurse for the quality of patient care delivered. He/She modifies and delivers care that is specific to the age growth and development of patients according to unit scope of services. When serving in the Charge Nurse role he/she is responsible for clinical and leadership functions as assigned by the Nurse Manager. He/She is responsible for assessing the needs of each assigned patient and planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs.

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must have graduated from an approved nursing program and have a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina NC licensure or multi-state compact license/ BSN preferred.
  • Requires minimum of 3 to 5 years medical/surgical experience.
  • Previous leadership/management experience desired.
  • The RN must be able to communicate effectively both verbally & written.
  • Possess the ability to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
  • Requires competency in the following skills: organization, prioritization, communication, leadership, decision making, problem solving, interpersonal delegation, conflict resolution, coaching, and counseling.
  • Seeking dependable professional looking to advance in a leadership role.

Other Information

  • Position will be a combination of a minimum of 20 hours per week office ANM responsibilities and the remainder of weekly hours staffing in the unit.
  • Days and shifts will vary depending on unit needs.
