Responsibilities

  • Maintains, directs, and oversight for the day-to-day operations of Guest Parking Services in conjunction with the Director of Parking.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Parking, develops new and enhances existing programs as they relate to Valet Parking, Shuttle Service, visitor/team member parking, parking enforcement and Cashiers based on current trends and policy direction.
  • Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's delivery of service methods and procedures.
  • Assist in development of policies and procedures as they relate to Guest parking Services.
  • Maintains direct oversight and schedules routine maintenance for parking lots, roadways, parking lot electric gates and related equipment.
  • Assist with Marketing regarding the placement of outside campus signs.
  • When the Director of Parking Services is unavailable, represents the department in meetings and/or committees as assigned.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a parking management plan for the entire campus to meet both present and future needs.
  • Responsible for enforcement of parking policy.
  • Coordinates and manages special event parking.
  • Oversees parking enforcement to ensure compliance with parking policy.
  • Prepares reports and analysis based on departmental budgetary process, monthly expenditures, and special needs basis.
  • Recommends allocation of resources in accordance with departmental and organizational priorities.
  • Assists in developing short and long-range goals and budgets for projects and to meet departmental needs.
  • Responsible for purchasing and maintaining the inventory of parking permits, hangtags, visitor parking tickets and citations.
  • Streamlines efforts between departmental functions and other organizational departments and entities to ensure delivery of services.
  • Monitors, corrects and approves team member¿s time in Kronos.
  • Schedules flexwork.
  • Direct oversight of all financial deposits from paid visitor parking.
  • Generates and fosters communications with other departments.
  • Partners with other Department Managers to achieve mission goals.
  • Pursues educational and leadership opportunities to enhance professional growth and development.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration
  • Valid Class C Driver's License
  • Certifications such as the Certified Parking Professional (CPP) through the National Parking Association or the Certified Administrator of Public Parking through the International Parking Institute are preferred but not required.
  • 1 to 3 years experience in: Parking Management, Valet Services, Cash Management, Business Management
