Responsibilities

  • Provide housekeeping support to Vidant Wellness departments
  • Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and sanitized, medical and general waste and soiled linen are removed and disposed of, and all facilities, rooms and areas are arranged safely and properly.
  • Perform cleaning procedures and floor care techniques for specialty areas.
  • Properly use appropriate cleaning equipment to carry out cleaning tasks (floor scrubbers, micro-fiber mops, cleaning chemicals, etc) and use appropriate chemicals to carry out cleaning tasks (sanitize, deodorize, clean, etc)
  • Maintain and utilize equipment so it stays in excellent working order.
  • Submit work orders to Plant Operations for repairs of Vidant Wellness Center facilities/equipment and perform minor maintenance and repairs to Vidant Wellness Center facility and equipment.
  • Model the Journey to Excellence to Staff and Visitors, follow the Standards of Behavior, set a positive example to others and ensure all Guidelines, Policies and Procedures are followed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by direct Supervisor, Team Leader and/or Management.

Minimum Requirements

  • GED or High School diploma required.
  • Cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not required.

Other Information

  • 1 Part-Time (20 hours/week) position available
  • The job will be 9pm-1am Monday-Friday and working one weekend (4-8pm Saturday and Sunday) each month or every 5-6 weeks.
  • On the job training will be provided on battery operated auto-scrubbers/burnishers, Hand burnishers/buffers, and vacuum/carpet cleaners, scissor high lifts, tile cleaners, chemical dilutions systems.
