Position Summary

Ambulatory Care Technician

The Ambulatory Care Technician is responsible for handling administrative tasks and performs diverse duties for the Emergency Department.  Also provides specific basic nursing care to patients, under direct supervision of the nursing staff and director.

CNA I/II

The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for handling administrative tasks and performs diverse duties for nursing department.  Also provides specific basic nursing care to patients, under direct supervision.

Minimum Requirements

Ambulatory Care Technician

Education

Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, successful completion of EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic program.    Currently certified as an EMT-(Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic) in the State of North Carolina and required to have a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider status upon hire. 

Experience

Knowledge of computer and other office equipment required.  Prior emergency department/hospital experience preferred.

 

CNA I/II

High School Diploma or equivalent, successful completion of Nursing Assistant Course, current certification as CNAI in the state of North Carolina, current listing on the CNAI Registry with the NC Department of Health & Human Services. CNA II requires successful completion of Nursing Assistant II Course, current certification as CNAII in the state of North Carolina, current listing on the CNAII Registry with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. 

Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider status is required upon hire. 

Experience

Knowledge of computer and other office equipment required.  Ability to manage numerous projects and set priorities.  Ability to maintain confidentiality.  Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant and a CPR certification.

Other Information

This is a full-time, 36 hours per week, position.

This is a night position, scheduled for three 12 hour shifts from 7P-7A.

This position is eligible for full-time team member benefits.
