Position Summary

Under the direction of the Vice President for Nursing Workforce and Support Services, this individual works closely with the Patient Care Coordinators. Nurse Managers and Administrators, and other organizational leadership to assure that nursing support functions provide services to the patient care team and support achievement of exceptional patient outcomes. This position provides leadership, management and operational direction for  Central Staffing Office, Wound and Skin Team, Lift Team, Nursing Technology and Innovation, Diabetes Program and Emergency Response Team.  This leadership role will coordinate the daily management of staffing, budgeting, financial impact of decisions and quality improvement activities.  This role will assist the VP in doing performance improvement for care model design across specialty areas.  Maintains a hospital wide perspective, providing information and communication with the nursing leadership team.  This role will interface with Vidant Health Nurse leaders to assure appropriate collaboration across entities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing required.
  • A Masters in Nursing, Business Administration or Health Services Administration is required.

Preferred Requirements

  • PhD or DNP Preferred.
