  • Responsible for the research and reconciliation of general ledger holding accounts and unidentified cash for Vidant Health.
  • Performs daily electronic remittance responsibilities, including logging, balancing, and research with payors and banks.
  • Performs audit of patient account refunds to ensure that internal controls and accountability requirements are being met.
  • Prepares daily bank report for wire transfers related to CBO accounts.
  • Performs cash audit reconciliation of general fund account.
  • Assists with cash and other audits as needed.  

Minimum Requirements

  • College Degree (4 yrs) Major: Business/Accounting
  • Previous accounting and/or cost report preparation a plus internship experience desired.
  • 3 months to 1 year experience in working for Medicare intermediary, accounts receivable (patient billing) claims processing for third-party payor preferred.
  • Will allow 1 year of related work experience for 1 year of education as substitution with the maximum being 2 years.
